We will take you on amazing cruise aboard the Dodi Princess II on Lake Volta where you can get a good view of the Adomi Bridge and Akosombo Dam, two historically significant infrastructures and both vital to the economy linking Accra, Tema, and Akuse to the northern regions. The view of the lake and surrounding mountainous landscape and the fresh breeze on the water will surely soothe your soul. Onboard the boat you will enjoy live music from the ship’s resident band. The kitchen crew will treat you to their special delicacies where they use fresh tilapia harvested from the tilapia farm on the lake.  Enjoy the calm of the lake, learn the history of the dam, bask in the sun and gaze at the beauty of the surroundings. On our way back we will stop and you will have an opportunity to patronize the street vendors and purchase fresh produce and a lot more goodies.

  • Option 2: Boat Ride On The Volta River

Set in a quiet environment you will be able relax and travel the waters of the Volta river in a boat with a fully licensed captain and with full safety gear for each passenger. The river empties into the Atlantic Ocean at Ada.  Along the river are countless fishing villages, resorts and a few nice estates. Even a short ride almost overwhelms the senses with postcard quality views on every side. We will have lunch at a popular restaurant on the lake where they serve fresh tilapia harvested from the tilapia farm nearby and on the lake.

  • KAKUM  NATIONAL PARK

For your adventurous side, we will journey to the Central Region of Ghana to Kakum National Park the home of Ghana’s surviving tropical rainforest spanning over 360sq km.  The Park has over 40 large mammals, such as elephants, bongo antelopes and primates like the Diana monkeys living there. It has been reported there are 400 bird species and an array of butterflies, flora and fauna. The highlight of the day and the most popular attraction in the park is the canopy walkway made up of seven bridges extending 350 meters (1,150 ft) long and connecting to seven tree tops which spans across the forest and hangs 40 meters above (131 ft) the forest floor giving you a beautiful tree-top panorama view of the rainforest.

  • BOJO BEACH RESORT

It’s time to head over to the beach for some fun and relaxation.  We will visit one of Ghana’s well maintained beaches.  It is a great place to sneak away from the busy city of Accra. The beach is becoming a very poplar beach destination for many tourists visiting Ghana. Bask in the sun and get the best glowing tan that will get you noticed.   During the week day the beach is a wonderfully tranquil haven and lots of space.  However, the weekend and holidays are bustling with locals and visitors alike having a fun festive time playing volleyball, or jet skiing.

  • CAPE COAST SLAVE CASTLE

The next adventure will be a trip to the Central region of Ghana; the seat of Ghana’s colonial history. You will explore our infamous castles in the region and be educated on how the daunting slave trade was carried out.  It has been estimated that over six million slaves were shipped to other countries and passed through the door of no return. You will be astonished by what you will see and the stories you will be told.

Oasis is the best place to hang out along the beach when you visit the Central region. With soothing live band music and a bar that serves assorted drinks, you will get the chance to wine and dine at one of the city’s amazing night time locations. From the rooftop of this amazing location, you will get a vast view of the ocean under the beautiful night sky. We will take a tour on foot through the market and engage with the merchants. We will visit the major outlets of some of the famous raw materials that go out of the country. We will also visit depots of the Ghana Textiles Print Limited and interact with some business women. We will then engage in some bargaining activities with the market people. We will also visit a lorry station inside the market to see how goods are transported from the market to the outlets to be sold.

  • BOTI  WATER FALLS

We will take a road tour to one of the water falls located in the Eastern Region of Ghana and best known for its twin falls. These twin falls are referred to as female and male by the local people.  It has the status of being the most attractive and talked about falls in the eastern region of Ghana.  You will be amazed at the splendor and grandeur of the falls.  You will get a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings where you may want to splash around the flowing waters, reflect peacefully on your life, or maybe just relax in the serenity of it all. The locals have developed other attractions to enhance the visitor’s experience but not directly related to the falls tour; one is called the umbrella rock and the other is the three–head-palm tree and they are notable attractions.  The umbrella rock is a 30 minute hike from the falls and the view from there is awe-inspiring. The three head palm tree is unique and locals described it as the ‘Siemens’ of the plant life.   There are vendors who have prepared food there who is offering the foreign tourist an opportunity to taste the Ghanaian cuisines. Have fun!
