Mole National Park in the Savannah Region is Ghana's largest protected area. Its savannah and gallery forest support elephants, buffalo, kob, warthog and more than three hundred bird species. Guided walking and driving safaris set out from a motel on an escarpment overlooking waterholes where elephants come to drink, making Mole one of the few parks in West Africa where wildlife is reliably seen on foot.
