Mount Agou reaches an elevation of 986 metres, making it the highest point in Togo. It stands in the Plateaux Region, south-east of Kpalimé and close to the border with Ghana. Its slopes are cultivated and dotted with villages, and a road climbs toward the summit area. The peak dominates the surrounding highland landscape of southern Togo.
