Jamestown (Ga Mashie) grew up around the 17th-century British James Fort and is one of the oldest districts of Accra. Today it is known for its working fishing harbour, the James Town Lighthouse, boxing gyms and a lively street-art and festival scene centred on the annual Chale Wote festival.
